The application process for the NTD Innovation Prize involves three rounds:
Submit a 400-word abstract addressing the following questions:
What is the problem you are trying to solve?
What is your proposed solution? How long will it take to achieve this?
Briefly describe your theory of change, how does your solution address this problem? How will you go about implementing your solution?
What would success look like and how will you measure it? Please include a few key outcome or impact indicators.
Why are you or your team best positioned to accomplish this? How are you collaborating with others?
Semi-finalists will be notified by June 15th.
Abstracts will be reviewed and a subset of semi-finalists will be invited to submit the following as part of the second round:
A 5-minute video presentation describing your idea. A guideline document including what to present and how to submit your video will be provided.
A letter of support from a local collaborator or implementation partner.
A budget outline using the provided template.
Finalists will be notified by August 1st.
Based on the video presentations, no more than five finalists will be selected by the panel to proceed to the final round where they will make a pitch during the innovation session at the 2019 NNN Conference in Liverpool, England. Each finalist will give a five-minute presentation to the judging panel and audience, followed by 10 minutes of Q&A.
The Innovation Prize winner will be announced at the conference closing ceremony.
The deadline to submit an abstract for the 2019 competition has closed.
