NTD INNOVATION PRIZE ELIGIBILITY

Application submission is open to both foreign and domestic non-profit and mission-driven for-profit organizations, including government agencies and academic institutions, regardless of location, age, size, or budget. Previous applicants may reapply.

NTD Innovation Prize Application process

1. Initial Round
Submit a 500-word abstract addressing the following questions:

  • What is the problem you are trying to solve?

  • What is your proposed solution? How will mapping help solve the problem?

  • How does your solution address the problem? How will you go about implementing your solution? How long will it take to see change?

  • How will you implement your idea? What are the key activities and steps that will be carried out?

  • If successful, what will be the impact of your idea?

  • Why are you or your team best positioned to accomplish this? Indicate any involvement of young professionals in your team.

2. Semi-Finalist Round
Abstracts will be reviewed and a subset of semi-finalists will be invited to submit the following as part of the second round:

  • A 5-minute video presentation describing your idea. A guideline document describing what to present and how to submit your video will be provided.

  • Headshot/photo

  • Professional bio

  • Signed release form

Semi-finalists’ information will be shared via the ntdinnovation.org website, American Leprosy Missions social media, and the NNN conference communications.


3. Finalist Round
The finalist steps for 2023 will be announced during the application process. One $40,000 USD prize will be awarded.

The Prize is awarded in the form of cash grants as unrestricted funds within the scope of the project. The first installment of the Prize will be disbursed in October 2023.  Awardees must submit mid-year and final progress and financial reports as outlined in the fund agreement.
